All monetary donations are deposited into the Farm Animal Rescue of Mifflinburg general fund account. These funds are used solely for continuing operation of the FARM - no person affiliated with the Farm Animal Rescue of Mifflinburg receives a salary, benefits, honorarium, gifts or other financial benefit from the organization's funds. "Continuing operation" includes such things as feed, hay, bedding materials, veterinary and farrier care, and various administrative expenses.

DONORS NEEDED! The Farm Animal Rescue of Mifflinburg provides a permanent home, quality feed and veterinary care to as many animals as our resources will allow. No person affiliated with the FARM receives financial compensation or pecuniary benefit of any kind - 100% of funds donated are applied to costs of running the sanctuary, primarily feed.
Some examples of expenses related to care and feeding of the animals:
Hay - 45 lb. small square bales - @ $4.50/bale (or more - varies by season and quality) - the animals may consume 5 bales or more per day in winter!
Hay - 700 lb. round bale - @ $50.00/bale (or more - varies by season and quality)
Llama/alpaca feed - 50 lb. bag - @ $16.00/bag - 3-4 bags per week
Alfalfa pellets - 50 lb. bag - @ $16.00+/bag - 3-4 bags per week
Goat feed - 50 lb. bag - @ 15.00+/bag - 3-4 bags per week
Veterinary care - varies, from $1,000 - $3,000 per year or more
Wormers/medications/vaccines - avg. $500 per year
Building materials - avg. $1000 per year for upkeep and improvements
